The name Solaris comes from Latin and means Sun. It was purposely chosen to stress the importance of the exposure of the vineyards on the hills surrounding the historic plain of Luni which is called 'colline del Sole'. In these hills that were praised in the writings of Pliny and Marziale in Roman times, the 12 vineyards from where this wine comes range from 50 to 300 meters above sea level and are immersed in mediterranean vegetation where microclimate, soil and the influence of the sea guarantee notes of great personality in the Vermentino wine.
