'Oro d’Isée' comes from our past and links to the name of one of our great-great-grandfathers, who was called 'ISEO'. It honours his habit of picking the best grapes in the vineyard, the most 'GOLDEN', and making a small batch of wine to keep hidden and only drink on the most important celebratory occasions. Under this label we have tried to revive this concept of a small batch of wine of excellence, each year selecting the best bunches of Vermentino grapes from two of our vineyards and vinifying them separately with a period of cold maceration of about 18 hours to enhance the sensorial properties.
